ABSTRACT The education report of SD Negeri 10 minas Timur reveal significant challenges in student’ literacy competencies.this study aims to conceptually analyze literacy findings from the report and explore their implications within the Merdeka Curriculum framework. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were gathered through document analysis, policy reflection, and literature review. Finding indicate that low literacy outcomes are associated with suboptimal teaching practices, limited variety of redaing material, and insufficient integration of literary and informational texts in learning activities. The study highlights the need to enhance teacher capacity, develop literacy programs across curricular and extracurricular domains, and streng then a school culture that comprehensively supports literacy. The Merdeka Curriculum offers strategic opportunities for school to design contextual, collaborative, and student-centered literacy instruction. Revitalizing literacy practices is expected to improve reading comprehension and foster students’ motivation and confidence in accessing knowledge. The study recommends ongoing stakeholder collaboration to avhieve meaningful and sustainable literacy transformation at the elementary school level.
