Abstract

Fluorescence imaging is a cost-effective method for detecting chromophoric substances, critical for ensuring compliance with Indonesia's Halal Product Guarantee (HPG). Thisresearch presents the design of the third generation of UIN Sunan Kalijaga's UVfluorescence spectro-imaging system, developed as an enhancement of the previousgeneration. The new design incorporates a high-power UV-LED excitation source with awavelength range of 250-285 nm and utilizes a SONY IMX291 CMOS sensor camera asthe detector. All components are housed in a compact, isolated case to minimizeinterference from external light sources. The research culminates in a detailed 3D CADdesign and the layout of each component, providing a comprehensive reference forconstructing the complete system. This improved design aims to enhance the detectionefficiency of non-halal substances, thus contributing significantly to the HPGimplementation efforts in Indonesia
