Abstract

(tambah presentase).   Kata kunci: Stabillisasi, CBR, Tanah Lempung, Tawas     Abstract   Clasy soil high plasticity and often requires improvement to enhance its bearing capacity. Along the Taeno-Wakal road section, this soil type contributed to a landslide that occurred of alum Al2(SO4)3) as an additive for stabilizing clay soil in the affected area. An experimental method was employed using alum mixtures of 1%, 3% and 5%. Laboratory tests included water content, specific gravity, unit weight, Atterberg limit, sieve analysis compaction, and California bearing ratio (CBR). Accprding to the AASHTO classification sytem, the soil is categorized as A-2-5 and A-2-7. The results revealed inconsistent CBR values across different alum concentrations. Sample point 1 to 5 produced varying outcomes, with the highest CBR value recorded at 5,88% and the lowest at 2,37%. Overall, the addition of alum was found to be ineffective as a stabilizing agent for the clay soil in Taeno-Wakal Road section.   Keywords: stabilization, CBR, Clay Soil, Alum
