Studi Transformasi Geometri Secara Struktural Dalam Menciptakan Bentuk Arsitektur Simbolik

Abstract

Abstract: Basic geometric forms such as triangles, squares, and circles are not merely ordinary shapes; they can be transformed into architectural configurations that embody both aesthetic value and symbolic meaning. This study examines the transformation of fundamental geometric forms—triangle, square, and circle—into architectural structures that simultaneously convey symbolic expression and structural efficiency. Utilizing the Rhinoceros-Grasshopper platform and the Kiwi3D plugin, each geometry was modeled and numerically tested under static loading conditions using steel as the structural material. Spatial stress distribution was analyzed through RGB color mapping to evaluate performance characteristics. The simulation results demonstrate that each transformed geometry exhibits distinct structural behaviors and symbolic interpretations. The study concludes that the triangular form performs most optimally, integrating symbolic expression, spatial order, and structural performance effectively within large-span architectural design. Keywords: Geometry, Rhinoceros, Symbolic Architecture   Abstrak: Geometri dasar seperti segitiga, persegi, lingkaran bukan hanya sebuah bentuk geometri biasa, namun ia bisa bertranformasi menjadi bentuk arsitektur yang membentuk estetika dan makna simbolik. Penelitian ini mengkaji transformasi bentuk geometri dasar (segitiga, persegi, lingkaran) menjadi bentuk arsitektural yang merepresentasikan makna simbolik sekaligus efisien terhadap beban struktural. Dengan memanfaatkan platform Rhinoceros-Grasshopper dan plugin Kiwi3D, setiap geometri dimodelkan dan diuji secara numerik terhadap beban tetap menggunakan material baja, serta dianalisis melalui peta warna RGB untuk mengidentifikasi distribusi tegangan spasial. Hasil simulasi menunjukkan bahwa setiap bentuk geometri yang telah ditransformasikan memiliki karakteristik dan makna yang berbeda-beda. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa bentuk segitiga memiliki kinerja paling optimal dalam mengintegrasikan ekspresi simbolik, keteraturan spasial, dan kinerja struktural.
