<![CDATA[This study aims to analyze how the implementation of Islamic religious education in character building of students at SMK 9 Medan, forms of supporting activities, supporting and inhibiting factors and real impacts seen in student behavior. (a) based on the results of temporary observations at SMK 9 Medan, it can be concluded that this school has made significant efforts in shaping students' character through Islamic religious education, religious programs such as congregational dhuha and dzuhur prayers, reading the Qur'an, and extracurricular religious activities such as rohis have become a forum for character building of students based on Islamic values. However, there are still some challenges faced in the process of character building as a whole, such as differences in social and cultural backgrounds of students, lack of parental involvement, influence of social environment, and limited time and teaching staff. Therefore, the right strategy and support from various parties are needed to increase the effectiveness of character building of students at SMK 9 Medan. (b) this study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach, data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and documentation. The collected data will be analyzed to determine how the role of Islamic Religious Education learning and parents in moral development, and the influence of the social environment, as well as limited time and teaching staff are obstacles that are often faced in the process of character development as a whole]]>
