ABSTRACT The use of mechanical ventilators in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) patients can lead to physiological problems, including dependence on the device during the weaning process. Non-pharmacological interventions such as body positioning can be an option to support successful weaning by optimizing respiratory mechanisms and oxygen distribution. The method used by the author is the application of an intervention on five ICU patients who are in the process of ventilator weaning. This was done by providing a combination of lateral and supine position interventions alternately every 2 hours for 24 hours. Oxygen saturation was also measured using oximetry before and after the intervention, with close monitoring for 24 hours to determine any response and changes during the intervention. The results of the intervention showed that oxygen saturation before the intervention was 90%-92%, and after the intervention, it increased to 96%-99%. There was a temporary decrease in oxygen saturation of 1%-2% due to suctioning. The results obtained indicate that the combination of lateral and supine positioning is effective in increasing oxygen saturation in ICU patients during the ventilator weaning process, thereby accelerating the successful and safe removal of the ventil ator.Keywords: Lateral, Supination, Oxygen Saturation, Ventilator Weaning ABSTRAK Penggunaan ventilator mekanik pada pasien Intensive Care Unit (ICU) dapat menimbulkan masalah fisiologis diantaranta yaitu ketergantungan alat selama proses penyapihan (weaning). Intervensi non farmakologis seperti pengaturan posisi tubuh, dapat menjadi pilihan untuk menunjang keberhasilan weaning dengan mengoptimalkan mekanisme pernapasan dan distribusi oksigen. Metode yang digunakan oleh penulis adalah penerapan intervensi pada lima pasien ICU yang dalam proses penyapihan ventilator, dengan memberikan intervensi kombinasi posisi lateral dan supinasi secara bergantian setiap 2 jam selama 24 jam. Serta dilakukan pengukuran saturasi oksigen menggunakan oksimetri sebelum dan sesudah intervensi dengan pemantauan ketat selama 24 jam untuk mengetahui adanya respon dan perubahan selama pelaksanaan intervensi. Hasil penerapan menunjukkan saturasi oksigen sebelym pemberian intervensi adalah 90%-92% dan setelah intervensi terjadi peningkatan menjadi 96%-99%. Sempat terajadi penurunan saturasi oksigen sementara 1%-2% karena tindakan suction. Hasil yang didapatkan menunjukkan bahwa kombinasi pemberian posisi lateral dan supinasi efektif meningkatkan saturasi oksigen pada pasien ICU selama proses penyapihan ventilator sehingga mempercepat keberhasilan pelepasan ventilator secara aman.
