Abstract

Abstrak Usaha kuliner di tepi Sungai Serayu Banyumas berkembang pesat seiring meningkatnya potensi wisata, namun menimbulkan masalah lingkungan seperti pencemaran dan pengelolaan limbah yang buruk. Penelitian ini menganalisis sejauh mana pelaku usaha menerapkan prinsip etika bisnis Islam, khususnya hifdzul bi’ah (pelestarian lingkungan), dalam menjaga kelestarian alam sekitar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi prinsip etika bisnis Islam dan hifdzul bi’ah (pelestarian lingkungan) dalam aktivitas usaha kuliner di tepi Sungai Serayu, Kabupaten Banyumas. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode lapangan yang bersifat hukum empiris (sosiologis) dan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling serta teknik pengumpulan datanya berupa observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan prinsip etika bisnis Islam dan hifdzul bi’ah oleh pelaku usaha kuliner di tepi Sungai Serayu Banyumas belum optimal. Meskipun ada upaya menjaga kebersihan dan efisiensi energi, praktik seperti pembuangan limbah ke sungai dan penggunaan plastik sekali pakai masih terjadi. Hal ini menunjukkan lemahnya kesadaran akan prinsip tauhid, keseimbangan, kehendak bebas, tanggung jawab secara ekologis, hormat dan kasih sayang kepada alam, kesederhanaan, serta keadilan terhadap lingkungan dalam perspektif Islam. Kata kunci: Etika Bisnis Islam, Hifdzul Bi’ah, Usaha Kuliner, Sungai Serayu. Abstract Culinary businesses on the banks of the Serayu River of Banyumas are growing rapidly along with the increasing tourism potential, but it causes environmental problems such as pollution and poor waste management. This study analyzes the extent to which business actors apply the principles of Islamic business ethics, especially hifdzul bi'ah (environmental conservation), in preserving the surrounding nature. This study aims to analyze the implementation of Islamic business ethics principles and hifdzul bi'ah (environmental conservation) in culinary business activities on the banks of the Serayu River, Banyumas Regency. This research uses a qualitative approach with empirical law (sociological) field methods and uses purposive sampling techniques and data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study show that the application of Islamic business ethics and hifdzul bi'ah by culinary business actors on the banks of the Serayu River of Banyumas has not been optimal. Despite efforts to maintain cleanliness and energy efficiency, practices such as dumping waste into rivers and using single-use plastics still occur. This shows a weak awareness of the principles of theology, balance, free will, ecological responsibility, respect and affection for nature, moderation, and justice for the environment from an Islamic perspective.
