The concept of gender in Islam reflects teachings that emphasize equality and justice between men and women, both in spiritual, social, economic and cultural dimensions. Islam views men and women as equal creatures who have the same rights and responsibilities before Allah. This research aims to examine the concept of women's empowerment from the perspective of the Koran in an effort to achieve gender balance. The method used in this research is This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach to explore the concepts of equality and the role of women in the Al-Qur'an, by describing the interpretations that emerge from various perspectives. The result of this research is that Islam provides space for women to develop in various aspects of life, from education, economics, to politics. The rights to education, economic participation and leadership are recognized as fundamental rights of women in Islam. In a contemporary perspective, scholars such as Musdah Mulia emphasize the importance of reinterpreting religious texts to eliminate gender bias. This approach aims to create a more inclusive and fair understanding, in accordance with the modern social context. Islam supports women's empowerment and encourages collaboration between men and women to build a balanced and harmonious society.
