<![CDATA[Haul Karuhun is an annual commemoration carried out by most Javanese communities, including the Sundanese community, especially in Cipongkor sub-district, West Bandung district, as a form of respect and prayer to the ancestors (karuhun) who have died. This study aims to describe analytically the value of gotong royong contained in Haul Karuhun in Cipongkor sub-district, West Bandung district. The method used is descriptive analytical through literature and field studies, with data collection techniques through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies. The results of the study show that the Haul Karuhun contains the value of gotong royong which includes the value of respect for ancestors (karuhun), togetherness, harmonisation, friendship, solidarity, spirituality, gratitude, and preservation of traditions and culture. In the context of basic education, the value of gotong royong in Haul Karuhun can be used as a foundation for character education.]]>
