This study aims to test the effectiveness of ethnolog learning media based onSisingaan Subang Dance in improving the cultural literacy of elementary schoolstudents. The ethnolog media was developed by integrating local cultural elementsinto an educational video format that features dance performances, historicalexplanations, symbolic meanings, and local wisdom values that are packaged inan interesting and contextual manner. The research design used was One GroupPretest-Posttest Design with a quantitative approach. The research subjectsconsisted of 30 fourth-grade students at Kiarasari Elementary School, SubangRegency. Data collection was carried out through cultural literacy tests givenbefore and after the treatment. The results showed a significant increase instudents' cultural literacy scores after the use of ethnolog media. The averagepretest score of 52 increased to 79 in the posttest, with an N-Gain value of 0.61which is in the moderate category. This increase indicates that ethnolog media iseffective in enriching students' understanding of local culture. In addition to theincrease in scores, students also showed active involvement, enthusiasm, and anappreciative attitude towards local culture during the learning process. Thismedium has been proven to be suitable for the characteristics of elementaryschool students who prefer visual and story-based learning. Furthermore, the useof ethnologs aligns with the objectives of the Independent Curriculum tostrengthen the Pancasila Student Profile, particularly in the dimensions of GlobalDiversity and Critical Thinking. Therefore, the Sisingaan Subang Dance ethnologis suitable for use as a learning tool that strengthens cultural literacy in acontextual and meaningful way.
