This study aims to determine the effect of using folk tale E-books on the oral reading skills of fifth-grade students at SDN Susukan 06 Pagi, East Jakarta. The research employed a quantitative method with a correlational approach. Data were collected through oral reading tests and the implementation of folk tale E-books as a learning medium. The results of data analysis indicate a positive and significant correlation between the use of folk tale E-books and students’ oral reading skills, with a correlation coefficient of , coefficient of determination , and which is higher than . This finding suggests that the use of folk tale E-books contributes 28.9% to the improvement of students’ oral reading skills. However, the study also encountered several obstacles, such as limited access to adequate digital devices and unstable internet connections, which hindered some students from accessing or downloading the reading materials. Overall, the study concludes that using folk tale E-books can serve as an effective alternative learning medium to enhance elementary students’ oral reading skills.
