<![CDATA[The total population of working age women in the Province of Bali is 885,138 people, or 33.25% of the total working age population. As a tourism destination, Bali is developing small and me- dium industries in which handicraft products sold as souvenirs. The type of job of Balinese women workers in this sector is finishing work such as, sanding, painting, or furnishing. The aim of this study is to describe the physical characteristics of Balinese female workers in small and medium industrial sector, which can be useful as preliminary data for further ergonomic intervention. The physical characteristics were collected from 92 subjects using literature study method. The results show that age of female workers are classified as productive age, height and weight classified as normal, more work experience than one year, and based on the heart pulse data, the work catego- rized in mild and moderate workloads. Jumlah penduduk wanita usia kerja di Propinsi Bali: 885.138 orang, atau 33,25 % dari total jumlah penduduk usia kerja. Sebagai tujuan wisata, Bali mengembangkan industri kecil dan menengah dengan produk kerajinan tangan sebagai cenderamata. Jenis pekerjaan wanita bali dalam sector ini adalah menuntaskan pekerjaan seperti mengamplas, menggambari, atau melengkapi. Tujuan studi ini adalah mendeskripsikan cirri-ciri fisik pekerja wanita Bali di sktor industri kecil dan menen- gah, yang akan bermanfaat sebagai data awal untuk intervensi ergonomik selanjutnya. Ciri-ciri fisik diperoleh dari 92 subjek melalui metode studi literature. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa usia pekerja wanita terklasifikasi sebagai usia produktif, tingi dan bobot tergolong normal, berpengalaman lebih dari satu tahun, dan berdasarkan data denyut jantung, pekerjaannya tergolong beban kerja ringan dan moderat.]]>
