ANALISIS GAYA BELAJAR SISWA PADA MATA PELAJARAN MATEMATIKA KELAS IV SDN 2 LINGGO SARI KECAMATAN SUNGAI LILIN

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine students' learning styles in mathematics subjects on the material of measuring area and volume in grade IV SDN 2 Linggo Sari and to determine the strengths and weaknesses of students' learning styles at SDN2 Linggo Sari. The research method used was a case study, the instruments in this study were observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation studies. The validity of the data was triangulation of sources and techniques. Data presentation was in the form of data reduction, data presentation and conclusions. The findings of the study of grade IV SDN 2 Linggo Sari showed that students with a visual learning style learned by relying on the sense of sight, auditory learning style used the sense of hearing, kinesthetic learning style learned by doing a lot of movement. The advantages of students with a visual learning style were understanding material presented with pictures, while the disadvantages were finding it difficult to understand material if it was not presented with pictures. The advantages of students with auditory learning styles are that they easily understand material with audio, the teacher's explanation has difficulty focusing on learning if the atmosphere is noisy. The advantages of students with kinesthetic learning styles are that they understand the material if they try it directly, the disadvantages are that it is difficult to understand the material if they do not practice it directly.
