<![CDATA[Back Massage adalah salah satu tehnik memberikan tindakan masase pada punggung selama 10-15 menit. Usapan dengan lotion/balsem memberikan sensasi hangat dengan mengakibatkan dilatasi pada pembuluh darah lokal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh back massage terhadap intensitas nyeri reumatik pada lansia. Penelitian ini merupakan ekperiment pra experimental dengan rancangan one group pretest-postest design. Jumlah populasi yang diberi perlakuan seluruh lansia sebanyak 25 responden dengan teknik total sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui lembar observasi menggunakan skala nyeri numerik. dianalisis dengan Wilcoxon Matchead Pairs p-value  Hasil penelitian menunjukan intensitas skala nyeri pasien sebelum dilakukan back massage berupa nyeri sedang dan setelah perlakuan terjadi perubahan intensitas nyeri menjadi nyeri ringan. Hasil uji statistik Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test diperoleh p-value = 0.000, ada pengaruh back massage terhadap nyeri reumatik pada lansia. Hasil penelitian diharapkan menjadi pertimbangan dalam penerapan terapi komplementer dalam keperawatan khususnya terapi back massage dalam menurunkan nyeri pada lansia dengan rematikKata Kunci: Back Massage, Nyeri, Reumatik, Lansia  AbstractBack Massage is one of the techniques to provide massage action on the back for 10-15 minutes. The lotion / balm rub provides a warm sensation by dilating the local blood vessels. This study aims to determine the effect of back massage on the intensity of rheumatic pain in the elderly. This research is a pre experimental experiment with one group pretest-postest design. The total population treated by all elderly were 25 respondents with a total sampling technique. The data were collected through observation sheets using a numerical pain scale. analyzed by Wilcoxon Matchead Pairs p-value ≤0.05. The results showed the intensity of the patient's pain scale before doing back massage in the form of moderate pain and after treatment there was a change in pain intensity to mild pain. The results of the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test statistical test obtained p-value = 0.000 < (a) then Ha is accepted, there is an effect of back massage on rheumatic pain in the elderly.
