<![CDATA[This study aims to describe the strategies of Islamic Education (PAI) teachers in utilizing local socio-cultural contexts or local wisdom as learning resources to strengthen students’ religious character at MTS Terpadu Labbaik Lahat. The research employed a qualitative descriptive method, with data collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that PAI teachers implement culture-based learning strategies by integrating local values such as mutual cooperation, politeness, deliberation, responsibility, and religious social awareness into classroom activities. Local wisdom serves as a reflective medium that reinforces students’ understanding of religion and develops their religious character. The study concludes that integrating local socio-cultural contexts enhances the relevance of Islamic education to students’ real-life experiences, while simultaneously strengthening spiritual, moral, and social values aligned with the principles of Islam as rahmatan lil ‘alamin.]]>
