This research was motivated by a problem found in class IX of SMP Negeri 1 Padang Panjang based on observations and interviews that had been conducted, namely the low mathematical disposition of students in learning mathematics. The low mathematical disposition of students is caused by the conventional learning model used by teachers so that it is less able to improve students' mathematical disposition. One effort that is thought to be able to overcome this problem is by using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model in mathematics learning. This research aims to determine whether there is a significant influence of the Problem Based Learning learning model on the mathematical disposition of class IX students at SMP Negeri 1 Padang Panjang. This type of research is experimental research with a research design, namely True Experimental Design with the form of Posttest Only Control Group Design. The population in this study were all students in class IX of SMP Negeri 1 Padang Panjang Panjang for the 2023/2024 academic year. The sampling technique used in this research is a cluster random sampling technique by first carrying out normality, homogeneity and average similarity tests on population data. The samples in this study were students in class IX D as the experimental class and IX B as the control class. The Experimental Class uses the Problem Based Learning learning model and the control class uses the conventional learning model. The research instrument used was a non-test instrument in the form of a mathematical disposition questionnaire. Based on analysis of questionnaire data calculated using the t-test, the results obtained were and . Because means that H_0 is rejected at the significance level . From these results it can be concluded that rejects and accepts. So it can be concluded that there is a significant influence of the Problem Based Learning learning model on the mathematical disposition of class IX students at SMP Negeri 1 Padang Panjang.
