This research is motivated by the low learning activity of students in Indonesian Language subjects in class V of UPT SD Negeri 001 Bangkinang City. One solution to overcome this problem is to apply a reward strategy. The purpose of this study is to increase student learning activities in Indonesian Language learning through the application of reward strategies in class V of UPT SD Negeri 001 Bangkinang City. The method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR) which is carried out in two cycles, each consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The time of this research was carried out in June 2025. The subjects in this study were 12 fifth grade students consisting of 10 girls and 2 boys. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation and documentation. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the learning activity of fifth grade students of UPT SD Negeri 001 Bangkinang City in cycle I meeting I was 16%. In cycle I meeting II increased to 33%. Furthermore, in cycle II meeting I became 58% and increased in meeting II to 83%. The conclusion is that using a reward strategy can increase student learning activities in the Indonesian Language subject in class V of UPT SD Negeri 001 Bangkinang City.
