<![CDATA[This study aims to analyze the influence of the family environment and the school environment on the social character of upper-grade students at SD Komplek Watampone. The research employed a quantitative approach with a correlational design. The population consisted of 222 students from grades IV–VI, and 69 students were selected as the sample using a proportional stratified random sampling technique. The research instrument was a Likert-scale questionnaire that had been validated and tested for reliability. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression with SPSS version 25. The results show that: (1) the family environment has a significant influence on students’ social character (B = 0.536; p = 0.000), (2) the school environment has a significant influence on students’ social character (B = 0.356; p = 0.026), and (3) both variables simultaneously have a significant influence on students’ social character (R² = 0.587; F = 46.854; p < 0.05). The beta coefficients indicate that the family environment has a more dominant influence compared to the school environment. These findings emphasize that the development of students’ social character is shaped through the synergy between the family as the primary foundation and the school as the reinforcement of social values. Parental role modeling, parenting patterns, and warm communication contribute greatly to nurturing children’s social character, while school culture, teacher example, and peer interaction further strengthen these values. Harmonious collaboration between home and school is essential for fostering optimal social character development.]]>
