VAKT-based literacy toolkits (Visual, Auditory, Kinesthetic, Tactile) are believed tobe effective in improving the reading and writing skills of lower-grade students.This article presents a systematic literature review of 25 national and internationalarticles published between 2015 and 2025 related to basic literacy and theimplementation of VAKT. The findings indicate that the VAKT approach canenhance letter recognition, reading comprehension, and early writing skillsthrough multisensory experiences. Moreover, the use of a VAKT toolkit facilitatesteachers in designing engaging lessons and supporting student motivation. Thisarticle also provides recommendations for developing VAKT toolkits, includingstrategies for implementation in lower-grade classrooms. These findings areexpected to serve as a reference for teachers and educational media developersin creating innovative and effective literacy methods.
