IPAS learning at the elementary school level often leads to boredom among students, especially when studying map material without the use of engaging media. This study aims to describe the effect of implementing YouTube-based learning media on improving the learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 23 Pekanbaru in the map material of the IPAS subject. The research method used is a quantitative descriptive approach with a pretest-posttest design. The research instrument consisted of a learning achievement test related to map material. The data analysis results indicate a significant effect of YouTube-based learning media on students’ learning outcomes, as evidenced by the paired sample t-test showing a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.001 < 0.05, which means that Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. The improvement is also seen in the comparison of minimum, maximum, and average posttest scores, which are higher than those of the pretest. Furthermore, the N-Gain value of 0.5819 indicates a moderate level of improvement. Thus, the implementation of YouTube-based learning media has proven to be effective in enhancing the learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 23 Pekanbaru on map material.
