Abstract

This study aims to improve the critical thinking skills of fifth graders at MIN 7 Bandar Lampung through the application of a picture puzzle learning model with the help of word wall media. The method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR) with the Kemmis and McTaggart model. Each cycle includes the planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. With a mixed approach between qualitative descriptive and quantitative. The instruments used in this study include test sheets, observation, and documentation. The results of the study show that students' critical thinking skills in cycle 1 reached 61.53% while in cycle II students' critical thinking skills increased to 77%. This achievement has met the established success indicators. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the application of the picture puzzle learning model assisted by word wall media can improve the critical thinking skills of fifth graders at MIN 7 Bandar Lampung.
