<![CDATA[This study aims to determine the relationship between emotional intelligence and critical thinking skills in sixth-grade students in the science subject in elementary school. This study used a quantitative research approach with a correlational approach. The study was conducted at SD Negeri 182/I Hutan Lindung during the odd semester of the 2025/2026 academic year. The sample used was a total sampling, with a population of 20 sixth-grade students. The instruments used were an emotional intelligence questionnaire and a critical thinking skills test. The data were analyzed using inferential statistics using normality tests, linearity tests, and Pearson Product Moment correlation tests. The results of the study showed a correlation coefficient of 0.756 between emotional intelligence and students' critical thinking skills, which is greater than the rtable value of 0.444, with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. This value indicates a significant relationship, with the relationship being categorized as strong. Furthermore, the coefficient of determination of 0.572 indicates that emotional intelligence contributes 57.20% to students' critical thinking skills. Based on these results, it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between emotional intelligence and critical thinking skills in sixth-grade students in the science subject. Therefore, the development of emotional intelligence needs to be given attention in the learning process to ensure optimal development of students' critical thinking skills.]]>
