This research aims to develop a Reading and Writing Literacy Guidebook for the PAUD–SD transition based on life skills to support early-grade students at SDN 106/IX Muaro Sebapo. The study employed the ADDIE development model consisting of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation phases. The product was validated by material experts, media experts, and practitioners. The results showed that the expert validation of material aspects reached 91.2% (very valid), media validation reached 88.5% (valid), and practitioner validation reached 94.7% (very valid). During limited trials involving 20 first-grade students, the guidebook effectively increased students’ literacy performance. Pretest scores averaged 56.20, while posttest scores increased to 83.40, resulting in an N-Gain of 0.62 (moderate effectiveness). Furthermore, student responses reached 93% and teacher responses reached 95%, indicating that the guidebook is highly practical and feasible for classroom implementation. These findings conclude that the developed literacy guidebook is valid, practical, and effective to support PAUD–SD transition literacy strengthening.
