<![CDATA[Coastal areas are characterized by the greatest availability of food in the form of sources of animal protein from marine products. In addition to food availability, economic factors in coastal areas that tend to be poor can have an influence on purchasing power and ability to fulfill family food. This study aims to determine the relationship between nutritional adequacy and family per capita expenditure with the nutritional status of adolescent girls in the coastal area of Semarang City. This type of research is a simple descriptive correlation with a cross-sectional survey design. Measurements of height and weight were carried out on respondents to calculate Body Mass Index (BMI) using a Z-score with BMI/U index. Nutritional adequacy data is taken with the Food Frequency Questionnaire (FFQ) then calculated energy fulfillment and compared with the Nutrition Adequacy Rate (RDA). Per capita expenditure is calculated by looking at the total family consumption expenditure and the total family expenditure divided by the number of family members living together, then categorized into poor and non-poor families after comparison with the average regional per capita expenditure. Data analysis using chi-square test. The average nutritional status is in the normal category with nutritional adequacy in the good category and the economic status is not poor. The test results show p= 0.000 for the nutritional adequacy variable and p= 0.002. There is a significant relationship between nutritional adequacy and family per capita expenditure with the nutritional status of adolescents in coastal areas of Semarang city.]]>
