Abstrak Perkembangan era globalisasi mendorong masyarakat untuk hidup serba cepat, memunculkan tren wanita bekerja dan meningkatnya emansipasi yang menyebabkan kedua orang tua memiliki aktivitas di luar rumah. Hal ini berdampak pada anak usia dini, seperti berkurangnya interaksi dengan orang tua dan meningkatnya kasus speech delay. Kota Malang sebagai kota ramah anak menyediakan berbagai fasilitas anak, seperti taman bermain dan preschool, namun belum semuanya menerapkan prinsip arsitektur ramah anak secara optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang daycare & preschool yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan serta persepsi anak usia dini dengan pendekatan arsitektur ramah anak. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode empiris melalui observasi langsung terhadap perilaku dan karakteristik anak. Hasil perancangan menerapkan enam aspek ramah anak: kemudahan, keselamatan, kesehatan, kreativitas, kenyamanan, dan keamanan. Perancangan ini diharapkan mampu menciptakan lingkungan fisik yang tidak hanya aman dan nyaman, tetapi juga mendukung tumbuh kembang anak secara motorik, kognitif, sensorik, sosial, dan psikologis dari sudut pandang anak sebagai pelaku utama. Kata kunci : arsitektur ramah anak, PAUD, daycare, perilaku, preschool, anak usia dini Abstract The development of globalization pushes society to live at a fast pace, resulting in a growing trend of working women and increasing emancipation, which causes both parents to have activities outside the home. This condition impacts early childhood, such as reduced parent-child interaction and the increasing cases of speech delay. Malang City, known as a child-friendly city, provides various children’s facilities such as playgrounds and preschools; however, not all have optimally applied child-friendly architectural principles. This study aims to design a daycare and preschool that aligns with the needs and perspectives of early childhood using a child-friendly architectural approach. The method used is empirical, through direct observation of children’s behavior and characteristics. The design results apply six child-friendly aspects: accessibility, safety, health, creativity, comfort, and security. This design is expected to create a physical environment that is not only safe and comfortable but also supports the holistic development of children in terms of motor, cognitive, sensory, social, and psychological aspects, from the perspective of the children themselves as the main users.
