Abstract

This experiment was keen to know whether the token economy method as an incentive affect the workers’s discipline enchancemant. Samples (N=15; 12 men; 3 women) were taken from “x” factory in Samarinda. Data of the worker’s discipline were collected from ratings by three raters (leader, vice-leader, and supervisor). Quasi-experimental design, the on egroup pretest-posttest design was used. A token economy incentive during 4 weeks was assigned as treatment. The data wa analysed through the non-parametric Kruskal Wallis test. Results reveal significant enhancement of worker’s discipline. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui apakah ada pengaruh pemberian tunjangan dengan metode token economy terhadap peningkatan kedisiplinan kerja karyawan. Sampel adalah seluruh aryawan perusahaan “x” di Samarinda (N=15; pria 12; perempuan 3). Data kedisiplinan kerja diperoleh dengan menggunakan rating yang dilakukan oleh 3 orang rater (pimpinan, wakil pimpinan, dan supervisor). Digunakan desain kuasi-eksperimen dengan teknik the one group pretest-posttest design. Perlakuannya berupa pemberian tunjangan dengan metode token economy selama 4 minggu. Data dianalisis dengan metode statistika nonparametric, uji Kruskal Wallis. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh pemberian tunjangan dengan menggunakan metode token economy terhadap peningkatan kedisiplinan kerja karyawan.
