Kurikulum merdeka deep learning approach demands a meaningful, in-depth, and relevant learning process to real-world conditions. In its implementation at SMK Batik 1 Surakarta, there are still obstacles related to the implementation of the kurikulum merdeka deep learning approach and a lack of innovative learning media. This study was designed to identify issues related to the implementation of the kurikulum merdeka deep learning approach and solutions with innovative 3D learning media in the form of flipbooks used in the K3LH subject. The qualitative descriptive method was the main method in this study, with data collected from interviews with the vice principal for curriculum, teachers majoring in digital business, and classroom observations during teaching and learning activities. This study shows that teachers have not fully understood and implemented the kurikulum merdeka deep learning approach because the curriculum is still new, so innovation in the use of learning media is needed to facilitate students' deeper understanding. The use of 3D flipbook media has been proven to increase student activeness and maintain student focus in teaching and learning activities because the presentation of this media is accompanied by real-life forms of work accidents and how to prevent them. This flipbook media also makes it easier for students to relate the material to real-world conditions in the workplace. The implications of this research confirm that innovative 3D learning media in the form of flipbooks is a strategy to improve the quality of learning to support the development of the kurikulum merdeka using a deep learning approach.
