Colok Gembrung is one of the traditional Ciamis snacks, which still survives in the midst of culinary modernization. This traditional food not only serves as a fulfillment of consumption needs, but also represents local cultural identity, social values, and community knowledge. This research aims to examine the meaning of social values in the life of the Ciamis community, the process of making Colok Gembrung as a heritage of knowledge from generation to generation, and its existence. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method of analysis with data collection techniques through semi-structured interviews and literature studies. Data analysis uses the Miles and Haburman model which includes data condensation, data presentation and conclusion drawn. The results of this study show that Colok Gembrung is still known and consumed by the public as a traditional Ciamis snack, especially by adults and the elderly. This research is expected to contribute to efforts to preserve traditional foods as part of local identity and cultural heritage.
