This study aims to determine the effect of implementing the Quiz-Quiz Trade cooperative learning model on the learning activity of fourth-grade students at SD Muhammadiyah 21 Medan in the 2024/2025 academic year. This study used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design. The research population consisted of all 36 fourth-grade students at SD Muhammadiyah 21 Medan, with the sample consisting of class IV A as the experimental class and class IV B as the control class. The sampling technique used purposive sampling. The data collection instrument was a student learning activity observation sheet that had been validated by experts. The data were analyzed using prerequisite analysis tests, namely normality and homogeneity tests, as well as hypothesis testing using the Independent Samples t-test with the help of SPSS. The analysis results showed that the data were normally distributed and had homogeneous variance. The hypothesis test results showed a significance value (Sig. 2-tailed) of 0.024 < 0.05, so H₀ was rejected and Hₐ was accepted. Thus, it can be concluded that there is a significant effect between the application of the Quiz-Quiz Trade cooperative learning model and student learning activity. The application of this model was able to increase student participation in asking questions, answering questions, working together, and expressing opinions during the learning process. The Quiz-Quiz Trade learning model is recommended as an alternative active learning method to increase the learning activity of elementary school students.
