Abstrak: Stroke merupakan salah satu penyebab utama kematian dan kecacatan di dunia. Penyintas stroke sering mengalami gangguan motorik yang berdampak pada kemampuan melakukan aktivitas sehari-hari (Activity Daily Living/ADL). Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kesadaran lansia terkait rehabilitasi pasca stroke menggunakan prinsip Constraint Induced Movement Therapy (CIMT) yang didukung oleh alat inovatif START (Stroke Therapy Assistance and Recovery Tools). Kegiatan dilaksanakan di Posyandu Lansia Bahagia Abadi 10, Gonilan, Kartasura, Sukoharjo, dengan melibatkan 35 peserta lansia berusia 53-83 tahun. Metode program ini meliputi tahap observasi, persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Edukasi diberikan melalui ceramah interaktif, demonstrasi, dan sesi diskusi. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan kuisioner pre-test dan post-test untuk menilai peningkatan pengetahuan peserta. Hasil menunjukkan adanya peningkatan dalam pemahaman peserta yaitu sebesar 2,57%, dari pemahaman awal 91,71% menjadi 94,28%, terutama pada aspek faktor risiko stroke, manfaat CIMT, dan penggunaan alat START. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa edukasi partisipatif berbasis praktik langsung efektif dalam meningkatkan literasi kesehatan lansia terkait pencegahan dan rehabilitasi stroke. Kegiatan ini berkontribusi terhadap upaya promotif dan preventif berbasis komunitas untuk meningkatkan kemandirian dan kualitas hidup penyintas stroke.Abstract: Stroke is one of the leading causes of death and disability worldwide. Post-stroke survivors often experience motor impairments that affect their ability to perform Activities of Daily Living (ADL). This community service activity aimed to improve knowledge and awareness among elderly participants regarding post-stroke rehabilitation using the Constraint Induced Movement Therapy (CIMT) method supported by the innovative tool START (Stroke Therapy Assistance and Recovery Tools). The activity was carried out at Posyandu Lansia Bahagia Abadi 10, Gonilan, Kartasura, Sukoharjo, involving 35 elderly participants aged 53-83 years. The program consisted of observation, preparation, implementation, and evaluation stages. Educational sessions were conducted through interactive lectures, demonstrations, and discussions. Data were collected using pre-test and post-test questionnaires to measure knowledge improvement. The results showed a significant increase in participants’ understanding, particularly in recognizing stroke risk factors, the benefits of CIMT, and the use of the START tool. These findings indicate that participatory education combined with practical demonstration effectively enhances health literacy among the elderly regarding stroke prevention and rehabilitation. This initiative contributes to community-based efforts in promoting independence and improving quality of life for post-stroke survivors.
