Digital transformation is driving banks to ensure that Information Technology (IT) investments align with business strategy and deliver tangible value to the organization. As a state-owned bank, Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI) continues to strengthen its digital capabilities through its Technology Division. However, without focused strategic planning, IT investments have the potential to underperform in supporting business objectives. This study aims to analyze and design the alignment of business and IT strategies in the Technology Division of BNI using the Ward and Peppard approach. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a case study, through analysis of the business environment and the IT environment. The results show that the application of the Ward and Peppard approach is able to produce an IS/IT strategy that is aligned with business needs, supported by a clear application portfolio and Alignment Matrix. This research confirms that the alignment of business and IT strategies plays a critical role in supporting digital transformation, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring IT investments deliver sustainable business value for BNI.
