Abstract

Data shop drawing dan bill of quantity (BoQ) dimodelkan menggunakan Building Information Modelling (BIM) untuk menghasilkan estimasi kebutuhan besi melalui Quantity Take Off (QTO). Kata kunci: waste, optimasi, pembesian, gedung       Abstract   Waste material in construction projects leads to cost overruns and reduced work efficiency. One of the main sources of waste is the suboptimal use of reinforcing steel in quantity estimation and cutting patterns. This study aims to optimize the use of reinforcing steel to reduce material waste in reinforcement work using Software Cutting Optimization Pro (SCOP). A case study was conducted on the construction of the Lecturer Housing Project of Politeknik Pekerjaan Umum Kota Semarang. Shop drawings and bill of quantity (BoQ) data were modeled using Building Information Modelling (BIM) to generate reinforcement quantity estimates through the Quantity Take Off (QTO) process. The QTO data were then analyzed using SCOP to obtain optimal cutting patterns. The results show that the application of SCOP reduced rebar waste to below 1% for all analyzed diameters. The lowest waste occurred in D13 rebars at 0.053%, while the highest waste was found in D25 rebars at 0.76%, resulting in a cost saving of IDR 8,885,235.60.   Keywords: waste, optimization, reinforcement, building
