Pengaruh Prestasi Belajar, Penguasaan Soft Skill, dan Motivasi Memasuki Dunia Kerja Terhadap Kesiapan Kerja Siswa Kelas XII SMK N 1 Rembang

Abstract

Tingginya tingkat pengangguran lulusan Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) menunjukkan adanya permasalahan empiris terkait kesiapan kerja lulusan pendidikan vokasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh prestasi belajar, penguasaan soft skill, dan motivasi memasuki dunia kerja terhadap kesiapan kerja siswa kelas XII SMK Negeri 1 Rembang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei. Populasi penelitian berjumlah 528 siswa, dengan sampel sebanyak 94 siswa yang ditentukan melalui teknik proportionate stratified random sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan kuesioner skala Likert yang telah memenuhi uji validitas dan reliabilitas. Data analisis menggunakan regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa prestasi belajar berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kesiapan kerja dengan arah hubungan negatif, yang mengindikasikan bahwa tingginya capaian akademik tidak secara otomatis meningkatkan kesiapan kerja apabila tidak diimbangi dengan kompetensi praktis dan pengalaman industri. Sebaliknya, penguasaan soft skill dan motivasi memasuki dunia kerja terbukti berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kesiapan kerja siswa. Secara simultan, ketiga variabel tersebut menjelaskan 46,3% variasi kesiapan kerja siswa. Implikasi penelitian ini menegaskan pentingnya kebijakan pendidikan vokasi yang menyeimbangkan orientasi akademik dengan penguatan soft skill, motivasi kerja, serta pembelajaran berbasis praktik dan kemitraan dengan dunia industri guna meningkatkan daya serap lulusan SMK   The high unemployment rate among Vocational High School (SMK) graduates indicates an urgent empirical issue related to graduates’ work readiness within vocational education. This research aims to investigate the impact of academic achievement, mastery of soft skills, and motivation to enter the workforce on the work readiness of twelfth-grade students at SMK Negeri 1 Rembang. This research used a quantitative approach with a survey method. The population consisted of 528 students, with 94 respondents selected using proportionate stratified random sampling. Data collection was carried out using a Likert scale questionnaire that had passed validity and reliability tests. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results of the study indicate that academic achievement has a significant effect on job readiness with a negative relationship, suggesting that high academic performance does not automatically enhance job readiness if it is not accompanied by practical competence and industry experience. Conversely, mastery of soft skills and motivation to enter the workforce were shown to have a positive and significant effect on students' job readiness. Collectively, these three variables explain 46.3% of the variation in students' job readiness. The implications of this research emphasize the importance of vocational education policies that balance academic orientation with the strengthening of soft skills, work motivation, as well as practice-based learning and partnerships with the industry to increase the employability of vocational school graduates.
