Mining activities can reduce carbon dioxide emission sources by opening mining land, so efforts are needed to restore land function through reclamation with revegetation. Increasing vegetated land can help mitigate climate change. This study aims to evaluate the growth of revegetation plants to determine the success of revegetation. The results showed that the success rate of revegetation on ex-mining land in the Air Laya IUP of PT Bukit Asam reached 93%, where the percentage of plant growth reached 93.7%, plant health 92.3%, and the number of plants/ha was 590 plants. High revegetation success can increase the source of oxygen production and absorption of carbon dioxide emissions to restore the environmental function of vegetated land. In addition, changes in land cover directly impact changes in carbon storage.
