<![CDATA[AbstractObjective: Children’s behaviour management problems is considered to be the most frequent problems in paediatric dentistry. One of factors that affect response behaviour of children towards dental treatment is parenting style. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the influence of parenting style towards cooperative levels in children aged 3-5 years during dental treatment.Material and Methods: The study was an observational analitical research with cross sectional research design. To obtain data in the field conducted by distributing Parenting Style and Dimention Questionare (PSDQ) and Frankl Behaviour Rating Scale to 130 respondents who currently make use of dental treatment in Hasanuddin University Dental Collage and Hospital.Results: Results showed that there are simultaneous effects of independent variables on the dependent variable with a sig < α (0,05), while the partial variables that most influence on patient cooperative variable is authoritarian with B Exponen of 8,370.Conclusion: There is a significant influence of parenting style towards cooperative levels in children aged 3-5 years during dental treatment. Parents with authoritative parenting style would made children cooperative eight times highest compared with other parenting style.]]>
