Therefore, this Community Service (PKM) initiative aims to build environmental cleanliness awareness through education-based waste management among students at STGH HKBP Sipoholon. This PKM utilizes the Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, a method that prioritizes the community as the subject throughout the entire process, from problem identification to the implementation of alternatives. The activity stages began with a preparation phase involving field observations, discussions, and the identification of core problems related to waste management. Problem mapping and priority setting revealed that low awareness of waste sorting and management was the primary issue. The implementation phase included waste management education, the provision of sorted trash bins, community cleaning activities (kerja bakti), as well as practices in simple waste sorting and recycling. The final stage was conducted through participatory evaluation to assess community involvement and behavioral changes toward waste management in the campus environment. These activities increased student knowledge about waste sorting, and a collective awareness was formed through independent waste management groups. Education-based waste management is effective in building sustainable student awareness and behavior. This model can be replicated at other campuses to support environmental education curricula. Consequently, this activity contributes to forming collective awareness, strengthening social concern, and instilling a clean, healthy, and sustainable culture within the STGH HKBP Sipoholon environment.ABSTRAKPengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini bertujuan membangun kesadaran kebersihan lingkungan melalui pengelolaan sampah berbasis edukasi di kalangan mahasiswa STGH HKBP. PKM ini menggunakan pendekatan Participatory Action Research (PAR), yaitu metode pendekatan yang memprioritaskan masyarakat sebagai subjek dalam seluruh proses kegiatan, mulai dari identifikasi masalah hingga implementasi alternatif Tahapan kegiatan diawali dengan tahap persiapan melalui observasi lapangan, diskusi, dan pengidentifikasian permasalahan utama terkait pengelolaan sampah, pemetaan masalah, dan penentuan prioritas yang menunjukkan bahwa rendahnya kesadaran pemilahan dan pengelolaan sampah menjadi isu utama. Tahap pelaksanaan meliputi edukasi pengelolaan sampah, penyediaan sarana tempat sampah terpilah, kegiatan kerja bakti, serta praktik pemilahan dan daur ulang sederhana. Tahap akhir dilakukan melalui evaluasi partisipatif untuk menilai keterlibatan dan perubahan perilaku masyarakat terhadap pengelolaan sampah di lingkungan kampus. Kegiatan ini meningkatkan pengetahuan mahasiswa tentang pemilahan sampah dan kesadaran kolektif terbentuk melalui kelompok pengelola sampah mandiri. Pengelolaan sampah berbasis edukasi efektif dalam membangun kesadaran dan perilaku berkelanjutan mahasiswa. Model ini dapat direplikasi di kampus lain untuk mendukung kurikulum pendidikan lingkungan. Dengan demikian, kegiatan ini berkontribusi membentuk kesadaran kolektif, memperkuat kepedulian sosial, serta menanamkan budaya bersih, sehat, dan berkelanjutan di lingkungan STGH HKBP Sipoholon.
