PELATIHAN DAN PENGUATAN PENULISAN KARYA TULIS ILMIAH BERBASIS DIGITAL BAGI PENGHULU KUA LOMBOK TENGAH DAN LOMBOK UTARA

Abstract

Abstrak: Sumber Daya Manusia (SDM) SDM Kantor Urusan Agama (KUA) di Lombok Tengah dan Lombok Utara masih lemah dalam literasi dan penulisan ilmiah berbasis digital, padahal kompetensi tersebut mendesak bagi penghulu untuk meningkatkan profesionalisme layanan keagamaan, sehingga diperlukan pengabdian bagi mereka. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memetakan tingkat pengetahuan penghulu KUA Lombok Tengah dan Lombok Utara dalam penulisan karya tulis ilmiah berbasis aplikasi digital, meningkatkan kompetensi mereka dalam menghasilkan karya ilmiah sesuai profesi dan bidangnya, serta menilai efektivitas pelatihan dalam mendukung peningkatan kompetensi tersebut. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan participatory action research (PAR) melalui tahapan diagnosing, planning, acting, observing, dan reflecting. Data dikumpulkan melalui pre-test, post-test masing-masing 20 pertanyaan, observasi proses pelatihan, analisis karya peserta, dan wawancara mendalam terhadap 60 Penghulu KUA Lombok Tengah dan Kabupaten Lombok Utara. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan kompetensi penghulu KUA dalam manajemen referensi, penelusuran literatur, struktur artikel ilmiah, pemahaman metodologi penulisan, serta pemanfaatan aplikasi Mendeley dan Zotero, dengan rata-rata peningkatan kemampuan sebesar menunjukkan 76% peserta berhasil membuat akun Mendeley/Zotero, 70% mampu menginput minimal 10 referensi, 60% berhasil membuat sitasi otomatis, 52% memulai draft KTI dan 18% menyelesaikan draft artikel > 1000 kata.berdasarkan hasil pengisisian post test dan pengumpulan naskah. Temuan ini menegaskan perlunya program pelatihan berkelanjutan, pendampingan sistematis, dan kebijakan institusional untuk memperkuat literasi digital penghulu.Abstract: Human resources at the Religious Affairs Offices (Kantor Urusan Agama/KUA) in Central Lombok and North Lombok Regency remain limited in digital literacy and digital-based scientific writing skills, despite the urgent need for such competencies among *penghulu* (Islamic marriage registrars) to enhance the professionalism of religious services; therefore, a structured community engagement intervention was required. This study aims to map the level of knowledge of KUA officials in Central Lombok and North Lombok regarding digital-based scientific writing, to strengthen their capacity to produce scholarly works aligned with their professional roles, and to evaluate the effectiveness of the training program in improving these competencies. The research employed a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, encompassing the stages of diagnosing, planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. Data were collected through 20-item pre-tests and post-tests, observation of the training process, analysis of participants’ written outputs, and in-depth interviews with 60 KUA officials from Central Lombok and North Lombok Regency. The findings demonstrate significant improvements in participants’ competencies in reference management, literature searching, scientific article structuring, understanding of writing methodology, and utilization of Mendeley and Zotero applications. Based on post-test results and manuscript submissions, 76% of participants successfully created Mendeley/Zotero accounts, 70% were able to input at least 10 references, 60% generated automated citations, 52% initiated a scientific manuscript draft, and 18% completed an article draft exceeding 1,000 words. These findings underscore the necessity of sustained training programs, systematic mentoring, and institutional policy support to strengthen the digital literacy capacity of KUA officials.
