Pemanfaatan Fitur Polling Instagram Story dalam Pembinaan Bahasa Indonesia melalui Kuis Antonim dan Sinonim

Abstract

This study is motivated by the rapid development of social media, which has the potential to be utilized as a medium for fostering the Indonesian language. One form of its application is through linguistic quizzes, such as antonyms and synonyms, using the polling feature available on Instagram Story. This study aims to describe the use of antonym and synonym quizzes as a medium for Indonesian language development on the Instagram account @grresiaa. The research employed a descriptive qualitative method. Data were collected through documentation techniques in the form of screenshots of polling results and respondents’ answers to the quizzes. The data consisted of six quizzes, including three antonym quizzes (cepat, baru, bahagia) and three synonym quizzes (marah, sunyi, bunga). Data analysis was conducted by classifying respondents’ answers into correct and incorrect categories and describing them to determine the level of respondents’ understanding of antonyms and synonyms. The results show that most respondents answered correctly, indicating that their understanding of vocabulary and word meanings is relatively good. In addition, the use of the polling feature on Instagram Story also increases user interaction and participation in language learning. Therefore, the use of social media, particularly Instagram, through interactive quizzes can serve as an effective, engaging, and accessible alternative medium for fostering the Indonesian language in the digital era.
