Effective public sector governance is an important element in improving the quality of local government services and realizing the principles of good governance. This research seeks to analyze public sector governance practices within the West Pasaman District Local Government, focusing on aspects of transparency, accountability, effectiveness, efficiency, and public participation. The research method used was a qualitative approach with a case study, where data was collected through semi-structured interviews with local government officials, academics, and civil society representatives, direct observation, and review of official documents. thematic analysis was then used to identify key patterns in the implementation of governance. The results obtained show that, despite efforts to improve transparency and accountability, challenges relating to effectiveness and community participation still remain, necessitating the adoption of more adaptive and community needs-based policy strategies. The findings are expected to contribute to the development of more responsive public sector governance policies and can serve as a reference for local governments in improving the quality of public services in a sustainable manner.
