This This study aims to determine the pedagogical competence of Islamic Religious Education teachers in planning learning evaluations, utilizing evaluation results as a follow-up to learning, and identifying obstacles and efforts made in implementing learning evaluations at SMA Negeri 7 Jambi City. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive research type. The subjects of the study were Islamic Religious Education teachers, with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions, as well as checking the validity of the data using triangulation. The results of the study indicate that the pedagogical competence of teachers in planning learning evaluations is quite good, but still tends to focus on cognitive aspects through written tests. The obstacles faced include limited understanding in compiling comprehensive evaluation instruments and a lack of ability in developing authentic assessments. Efforts made by teachers include attending training, discussing with colleagues, and conducting learning reflections. The conclusion of this study is that the pedagogical competence of Islamic Religious Education teachers in implementing learning evaluations at SMA Negeri 7 Jambi City still needs to be improved, especially in developing evaluations that include cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects.
