This study aims to explain the implementation of competitions to commemorate Heroes' Day on November 10th at SMA Negeri 13 Merangin. These competitions are one way to commemorate the services of heroes and instill the values of patriotism and nationalism in students. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method to describe the process of implementing the competitions and their impact on students and the school environment. The results show that the implementation of competitions at SMA Negeri 13 Merangin is an effort to strengthen students' personalities through various competition activities such as a hero-themed poetry reading competition, a hero-themed speech competition, a hero-themed drawing competition, and a national hero fashion show. In addition, these activities also involve the active roles of teachers, OSIS administrators, and students within the Ministry of National Education as the organizing committee. The positive impacts of these activities include increased creativity, courage, and students' understanding of heroic values, as well as increased cooperation and sportsmanship. These activities also provide students with valuable experience in preparation, collaboration, and healthy competition.
