<![CDATA[The Kampus Mengajar 8 program is part of the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka policy which aims to improve the quality of education. This research is motivated by the low level of literacy of elementary school students, especially in the ability to read and understand texts. The purpose of this study is to analyze the role of Kampus Mengajar 8 students in improving student literacy at SD Negeri 104 Rantau Panjang VIII. This study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods, through observation, interview, and documentation techniques. The results show that students play an active role as facilitators, motivators, and innovators in literacy learning, through programs such as reading corners, reading habits, and the use of creative learning media. The presence of students can increase students' interest in reading, improve reading comprehension skills, and create a more conducive learning environment. Thus, the Kampus Mengajar 8 program makes a positive contribution to efforts to improve literacy in elementary schools.]]>
