ABSTRAKData WHO, jumlah pasien asma di dunia diperkirakan mencapai 300 juta orang dan diperkirakan angka ini akan terus meningkat hingga 400 juta penderita pada tahun 2025. Salah satu terapi non farmakologi untuk mengatasi sesak nafas pasien asma adalah dengan melakukan posisi semi fowler. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui efektifitas posisi semi fowler terhadap penurunan sesak nafas pada penderita ASMA di RSUP Dr. Rivai Abdullah Palembang Tahun 2022. Metode penelitian menggunakan cross secitonal. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah semua pasien asma bronkial yang ada di RSUP Dr. Rivai Abdullah Palembang dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 22 responden menggunakan metode purposive sampling. Berdasarkan hasil uji Wilcoxon didapatkan ada efektifitas posisi semi fowler terhadap penurunan sesak nafas pada penderita ASMA di RSUP Dr. Rivai Abdullah Palembang Tahun 2022 dengan nilai p value =0,000. Saran diharapkan pemberian posisi semi fowler pada penderita asma dapat terus di terapkan dan dijarkan kepada pasien asma sebagai terapi non farmakologi yang dapat dilakukan secara mandiri saat pasien merasakan keluhan sesak nafas selain pemberian obat-obatan yang telah diresepkan oleh dokter sehingga dengan dapat membantu meringankan keluhan sesak nafas yang sering dialami oleh pasien asma.Kata Kunci : Posisi Semi Fowler, Sesak Nafas, AsmaTHE EFFECTIVENESS OF SEMI FOWLER'S POSITION ON REDUCING BREATHLESSNESS IN ASTHMA PATIENTSABSTRACTWHO data, the number of asthma patients in the world is estimated at 300 million people and it is estimated that this figure will continue to increase to 400 million sufferers by 2025.
