Mathematical communication skills among Indonesian students are still relatively low. This study examines how cooperative learning models are implemented in mathematics instruction and identifies their characteristics by education level (junior and senior high school), cooperative model type, mathematics topics, and supporting media. A Systematic Literature Review (SLR) was carried out on 12 national journal articles published from 2021 to 2026, retrieved from Google Scholar, ResearchGate, and Garuda, and analysed using a descriptive qualitative approach. The results show that cooperative learning effectively enhances students' mathematical communication skills. Most studies were conducted at the junior high school level, using NHT as the most frequently used model, focusing on the Pythagorean Theorem, and the majority applied cooperative learning without specific media.
