This study aims to examine the utilization of the HelloTalk application in improving Arabic speaking skills among language learners. This research employs a qualitative descriptive approach with purposive sampling involving 10 participants who have used HelloTalk for at least two months. Data were collected through source triangulation, including observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model, consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that the utilization of HelloTalk effectively enhances learners’ Arabic speaking skills. Key features such as voice room and live facilitate direct verbal interaction, real-time feedback, and instant translation, enabling learners to engage in authentic and communicative language use. The learning process occurs systematically through preparation, topic selection, interaction, and self-reflection, contributing to improvements in fluency, vocabulary acquisition, pronunciation, and confidence. Despite challenges such as limited vocabulary, dialect differences, and irrelevant conversations, learners employ adaptive strategies, including note-taking, clarification requests, and selecting appropriate partners. Overall, HelloTalk functions as an effective mobile learning medium that supports autonomous learning, reduces speaking anxiety, and promotes spontaneous communication in real-life contexts.
