Abstract

The rapid digitalization of the fashion industry has created new opportunities for Muslim fashion entrepreneurship while simultaneously intensifying market competition. This study examines white-label fashion as a business model innovation that can reduce market-entry barriers and reshape value creation in the Muslim fashion industry. Using a qualitative conceptual approach, the study synthesizes literature on disruptive innovation, business model innovation, digital platforms, fashion supply chains, and Muslim fashion consumption, complemented by a Business Model Canvas analysis. The findings indicate that white-label production enables entrepreneurs to access manufacturing capabilities without substantial investment in production infrastructure, while digital platforms expand market access and facilitate rapid market experimentation. However, lower entry barriers may increase competition and create challenges related to product differentiation, quality control, supplier dependence, and consumer trust. The study argues that the disruptive potential of white-label fashion lies not simply in production outsourcing but in the reconfiguration of the fashion value chain, shifting entrepreneurial advantage from production ownership toward brand development, customer relationships, digital engagement, and resource orchestration. The study concludes that white-label fashion can provide an accessible pathway for Muslim fashion entrepreneurship, but its long-term sustainability depends on the ability to transform production flexibility into distinctive, trusted, and culturally meaningful customer value
