This study aims to reveal the form and meaning of myths about babies and pregnancy in Bandungrejo Village, Malang Regency and the function of these myths in society in Bandungrejo Village, Malang Regency through conceptual meanings and associative meanings initiated by Leech (1976) and ethnography of beliefs Tusting (2020). The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive approach. The data in this study came from the community of Bandungrejo Village, Malang Regency. Through this study, the forms of myths about babies and pregnancy in Bandungrejo Village, Malang Regency were found, which are divided into two, namely the ora oleh form and the kudu form. The conceptual meaning and associative meaning contained in the myths were found, which are divided into 1) the meaning of myths or taboos about babies and pregnancy in the form of prohibitions; 2) the meaning of myths or taboos about babies and pregnancy in the form of recommendations. Finally, the function of myths about babies and pregnancy in Bandungrejo Village, Malang Regency is to maintain the safety and health of mothers and babies. Myths in the form of prohibitions are intended to keep the mother and baby safe from danger. While myths are in the form of recommendations, apart from being intended to avoid danger, they are also used to keep the mother and baby healthy and the baby can be born perfectly as expected..
