Background: Cultivation of Timun Suri (Cucumis melo L. var. inodorus) in Riau Province faces productivity constraints due to suboptimal agricultural inputs. The utilization of organic waste (nutrient-rich banana peel extract) and KNO₃ fertilizer as a source of N and K is expected to sustainably improve growth and yield. Objective: This study aimed to determine the effect and the best combination of banana peel extract (0, 20, 40 ml) and KNO₃ fertilizer (0, 5, 10 g/plant) on the growth and yield of Timun Suri. Methods: The research was conducted at the Experimental Field of the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Lancang Kuning, from March to June 2025, using a factorial completely randomized design (CRD) with three replications. The parameters observed included stem diameter, days to flowering, days to harvest, number of fruits, fruit weight, and sugar content. Results: The results showed that the best combination was 40 ml banana peel extract + 10 g KNO₃ per plant (P2K2), which produced the highest fruit weight (837.39 g) and the earliest flowering time (31.22 days after planting). The application of 10 g KNO₃ per plant significantly affected stem diameter, days to flowering, and sugar content, while banana peel extract significantly affected the number and weight of fruits. The interaction between the two treatments was synergistic. Conclusions: The combination of 40 ml banana peel extract and 10 g KNO₃/plant (P2K2) gave the best results, producing the highest fruit weight and earliest flowering, with KNO₃ boosting vegetative and quality traits and banana peel extract enhancing fruit yield synergistically.
