This study aims to analyze the role of love language in communication between parents and children of generation Z for self-disclosure. The love language proposed by Chapman (2014) includes five main forms: words of affirmation, acts of service, receiving gifts, quality time, and physical touch. The study used a qualitative approach with a phenomenological method. Data collection was carried out through in-depth interviews with six informants consisting of parents and children of generation Z. The results of the study showed that love language plays an important role in creating comfort, trust, and openness between parents and children. Self-disclosure occurs because of the comfort and trust that arise from smooth communication through love language. However, differences in understanding between parents and children can hinder the process of self-disclosure. This study recommends the importance of parents' understanding of their children's love language in order to strengthen family relationships. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis bagaimana peran Love Language dalam komunikasi antara orang tua dan anak generasi Z untuk penyingkapan diri (self-disclosure). Love Langeage yang dikemukakan oleh Chapman (2014) mencakup lima bentuk utama: words of affirmation, act of service, receiving gift, quality time, dan physical touch. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode fenomenologi, Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara mendalam terhadap enam informan yang terdiri dari orang tua dan anak generasi Z. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bahasa cinta berperan penting dalam menciptakan kenyamanan, kepercayaan, dan keterbukaan antara orang tua dan anak. Penyingkapan diri terjadi karena rasa nyaman dan kepercayaan yang muncul dari komunikasi yang berjalan lancar melalui bahasa cinta. Namun, perbedaan pemahaman antara orang tua dan anak dapat menghambat proses Self- Disclosure anak. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan pentingnya pemahaman orang tua terhadap bahasa cinta anak guna mempererat hubungan keluarga.
