The rapid flow of information on TikTok requires vocational students to have adequate digital literacy so they can evaluate and filter information critically. This study aimed to describe students' digital literacy, describe students' ability to filter information on TikTok, and analyze the influence of digital literacy on the ability to filter information among students of SMK Negeri 1 Barabai. The study used a quantitative associative design. The population comprised 902 students in the 2025/2026 academic year, and 278 TikTok-using students were selected through purposive sampling using Slovin's formula with a 5% error tolerance. Data were collected through a four-point Likert questionnaire. The digital literacy instrument covered digital skills, digital safety, digital culture, digital ethics, self-control, and information evaluation; the information-filtering instrument covered information identification, evaluation, verification, critical attitude, selectivity, and information use. Validity testing produced 24 valid items, and reliability testing produced Cronbach's Alpha values of 0.877 and 0.871. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and Spearman's rank correlation because the normality assumption was not met. The findings showed that students' digital literacy was high (M = 39.88; 83.08%), and their ability to filter information on TikTok was also high (M = 39.21; 81.69%). Spearman's test indicated a strong, positive, and significant relationship between digital literacy and information-filtering ability (rho = 0.733; p = 0.000). Thus, the higher students' digital literacy, the better their ability to select, verify, and evaluate information on TikTok.
